Kaynor Tech.'s music teacher Sarah Patel alongside retired English Teacher Mrs. Lynn Gannon have been organizing the musical "Freaky Friday" which is set to debut on March 29 in the W.F. Kaynor Technical High School Gymnasium.
The seniors featured in the musical who also play key roles are Jenna Garraffo, Sarah Matumbura and Aubrey Faw.
There are also a number of underclassmen worth coming out to see.
"The play is based on the premise that a mother and daughter magically switch brains, but not bodies!--- It is zaney, fun and we learn a little bit about ourselves along the way. It’s never easy being in someone else’s shoes…or body" Mrs. Patel said.
"You can expect a 21st century family dynamic with magic ...The music is very fun and vibrant! You will hear some great songs sung by the cast!" added senior lead Jenna Garraffo.
The play will take place in the gym which has been transformed into a theater for the three shows set for March 29, at 3:00p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and March 23 at 7:00p.m.
Tickets are $12 dollars for adults and $6 for students and will be sold in the office every day leading up to the play. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
